First Discovered
     Lt James Cook and Joseph Banks stepped ashore for the second time in Australia on the beach front at the Town of 1770. Our displays celebrate their visit with copies of the logs, charts and much more.

Maritime History
There is an informative display on the many shipwrecks along our coastline including the Countess Russell and the Agnes

Early Shire
 We have a collection of photographs from the early days of Miriam Vale, Rosedale,Bororen, Baffle Creek,Agnes Water and Town of 1770 - all the areas of the Shire. There is a good collection of memorabilia from the local area including cane prams, a cane bassinet, a hand operated washing machine, early sporting gear and much more.

Aboriginal Artifacts
The display of Aboriginal and Islander artifacts is a favourite with
most visitors.

Memorabilia
    It is interesting to listen to the comments of people as they peruse the Books, Magazines and items they remember from the good old days which are now housed in the recently restored Arthur Jeffery original Museum.

Replica
 The museum has a fine scale model of the HM Bark Endeavour on display.
It was built by a shipwright who worked on the replica Endeavour.
